Championship Meet at Lombard Commons

This was a beautiful crisp day, much better than running in 90 degree weather! What a fast season it was and how fun each week was, different courses, different weather, different - but improving results......  the one thing that was the great constant was our SJS Spirit, our team camaraderie, and our desire to improve while having fun!!   It certainly was amazing to see our season's results after yesterday's meet: results will be posted soon.  We also had so much fun capturing many photo memories of our children and we hope you are able to download many favorites for your scrapbooks.  The coaches fun run was a good end to the season---- VERY funny that while none of our runners missed the start of any race this season - two of our coaches (Coach G. and Coach V.) were chatting with parents and had to hustle 50 yards to catch up to the race after the gun went off.   Go Coaches!!  Coach Gentile, Coach Vlasak, and Coach Kelly all ran a fine race while Coach Flavin was the lead cheerleader.  We missed Coach Sluzas yesterday but will see everyone next weekend for a season wrap up!

Championship Meet October 1, 2011 - SPL - Lombard

CONGRATULATIONS to ALL of the CHAMPION runners!!! We finished our first season with a fantastic finish! The hard work at practices, mental attitude, dedication and guts provided many personal records today. We are very proud of each and every runner as they have all improved tremendously. Great job!!!

The fourth meet of the season that was very close to home for everyone. The course was very unique with lots of turns and paths in the trees with a slight uphill finish. All of the runners did a fantastic job!

GREAT SJS SPIRIT AT LT MEET!

What a morning! We had fog to start with for the 5th grade races and then sunshine and heat by the time the 8th grade races rolled around.  Our runners set better personal paces this meet and that was very exciting to see.  The coaches have noted everyone on the team has shown improvement and they couldn't be prouder of them.

Pasta Party at Whitlock Park

A huge thanks to Mrs. Dickey for hosting our pasta party this week.  What a great way to end a good work out and enjoy time together before our meet tomorrow.  The weather will add surprise to our parties each week - be sure to come prepared with sweatshirts and warm ups for the next pasta party!!!!
